Episode #1.1

Thu, Sep 20, 2012
Chris Packham elaborates on a few strange phenomena in the animal world. When females of butterfly species happen to lay their eggs close near each-other, the result can be an overpopulation of caterpillars, who all make cocoons, which can thus assemble to what appears a huge cloak over trees and anything nearby. Sometimes fishmongers and their clients are revolted by the sight of a large parasite in the mouth of fishes, which locks into their tongues or even appears to replace it.
