The Evolution of Spiders
Spiders and insects split from a common ancestor half a billion years ago before either ventured on to land. As a result they developed entirely different method of breathing as well as a host of obvious structures if you look close. Scorpions and ticks are more closely related to spiders sharing many of the structures insects do not.
