He met Chris Martin and together they formed Kid 'N Play - a duo that would become a pioneer in mainstream hip hop. Their success garnered them leading roles in House Party, the hit movie that would take the country by storm and fully introduce hip hop to popular culture. With a three-picture deal, platinum records, and even a Saturday morning cartoon series, it seemed as if Kid 'N Play would be around for years to come.
