A small building in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, scheduled for demolition, is invaded by young squatters opposed to real estate speculation. While demolishing partitions, they discover the body of Jean Jacques Merette, the real estate agent who regularly threatened the remaining occupants. Still living in the building are an elderly couple who has always refused to leave, a couple negotiating a monetary compensation, a nostalgic young woman who returns from time to time to her grandparents' apartment, and a shoemaker still managing his store. Who has done it? And how ? For how come the body was found in an apartment that has been walled-up for three years?
