In France, with a 50 minutes program presented by Eve-Marie Cauchois from November 1988 on Canal+, then from September 23, 1989 on TF1; then from January 16, 1993 on France 2. The program returns on TF1 from 1998 to 1999 and from September 2020 on France 2. The concept is to trap, with the use of hidden cameras, celebrities, usually with the complicity of an acquaintance. In France, on TF1, the Quebecer Marcel Béliveau - who always greeted viewers with a "Bonsoir à la maison. "- will successively co-host this show with French hosts Bernard Montiel, Patrick Roy, Jean-Pierre Foucault, Christophe Dechavanne and Patrick Sébastien; then on France 2 from January 1993 with Georges Beller. On September 26, 2020, France 2 relaunches a new version of Surprise sur prise hosted by Donel Jack'sman, Laury Thilleman and Tom Villa.
