The novice, but cheeky agent Alina helps him break into the first line-up. Shortly before an important match, Matvey receives a call from his hometown with bad news related to his childhood criminal friends. Matvey and Alina fly to Ulan-Ude to settle the situation and save Dasha's younger brother, who is Matvey's ex-girlfriend.

There he falls for a white girl, but guilt drives him back to Chicago, where he runs into Edith again, and they agree to marry. When Edith is later found murdered, Jean is blamed for the crime.
