Lurking deep inside a giant Junk Zone, a BattleKey is guarded by a mechanized Junkyard Dog. Spinner and Sherman are forced to team up with Kalus in order to survive! In doing so, the brothers learn to appreciate each other's skills.
When Stanford discovers an ancient ancestor was a multiverse explore, he's inspired to make a peace pact with the Vandals and usurp Vert's position as leader.
Vert must lead BATTLE FORCE 5 to Planet Vandal and retrieve a rare plant that will save Zoom from succumbing to the effects of Hatch's debilitating neurotoxin.
Zoom's spiritual mentor - who happens to be a 9 year-old boy - appears in Handler Corners in order to bring Zoom back home to fulfill his destiny as the "Chosen One."
In a super frigid battlezone, Agura and Stanford must put aside their quarrels to recover the Tangler trapped in a crevasse, while the rest team battles a newly energized Sark army and a massive abominable snowman.
The BF5 enter a battlezone with reverse magnetic polarity, causing their vehicles (as well as the Sark's) to repel the battlekey rather than attract it.
Vert and the BF5 must battle a monster created by Sherman and Spinner's collection of battlezone artifacts which come to life and terrorize Handler Corners.
The Battle Force 5 enter an arena-type battlezone which turns out to be a Sark testing facility run by a mysterious Red Sark, Tors10. The BF5 wind up pitted against each other in gladiator-style combat (as are the Vandals), causing personal feuds among the team members.
When the MOBI needs to go to a battlezone for a major update, Zemerik takes control of the mobile fortress. The BF5 must recover it from Sark World, while Spinner becomes trigger shy after making a mission-jeopardizing mistake.
Sark and Vandals join forces to trick the BF5 into thinking both enemy forces have been defeated and the war is over... only to miraculously return from the "dead", overwhelm Vert and his team and invade the Hub in a climactic battle.
