While Goofy and Pete are rivaling, their kids Max and P.J. are having a great time together. But the friends are soon broken up by their dads. Unhappy with the situation, Max and P.J. do everything to make Goofy and Pete friends again.
Pete has his eyes on the Ultra Fin Laser Guided Telescopic Fish Finder but Peg has other plans for him. She tells him of her plans to sell the lake house and gives Pete the weekend to get the house cleaned up, painted and ready to sell. She gives him money for a handyman which he promptly uses to buy the fish Finder. With twenty bucks left he hires Goofy to work on the house. Naturally, disaster and chaos ensue.
Max attempts to fit in better with friends with his father's old motorcycle, which he has been forbidden to touch. Unfortunately, however, he runs into a gang of mean bikers.
Max helps Pete design an RV. Max plans to win Pete's affections so that he could hang out with Pete's son P.J. An unforeseen turn of events occurs when Max actually becomes good friends with Pete and forgets about P.J.
As a gimmick to lure more customers to his dealership, Pete sets up an impossible half-pipe skateboard ramp and offers an award to anyone willing to try. Goofy, who has never won any awards in his life, decides to give it a try.
To get out of the shambles in school, Max announces his dad is getting married. Peg immediately sends Pete to find the groom's perfect match. In his failed match mission, Pete sets up Goofy with a maintenance woman.
The boys build a glider and the first one to test it is Pistol. But her wish isn't granted because she is too young. So Goofy takes the disappointed Pistol to an air show where she ends up saving Pete's life.
The coach of the baseball team is getting on the nerves of Goofy and Pete. He appears to be the very same coach that dismissed Pete and Goofy from the baseball team 30 years ago.
Goofy refuses to fulfill Max's request to get a security system for the house. Max decides to crash at Pete's house, which is very safe since they installed the latest security system. Little does Pete know that his burglar system was installed by robbers.
Pete pretends to be sick, so he puts P.J. to work at his car lot. Unfortunately Pete really gets sicks when P.J., Max and Goofy make low-cut sales of the cars.
A bathtub race between the two teams - Goofy and Max against Pete and P.J. Things become difficult when Pete wants P.J. to snoop around the other team.
When Pete learns that he owns part of Goofy's property, he starts gloating. In the end, it actually comes out that it's the other way round - Goofy owns part of Pete's property.
Pete is desperate to get water for his garden when Spoonerville experience a drought. So Pete snatches water from Goofy. Unaware of this, Goofy gets in trouble and finds himself in jail. But soon Goofy is out and Pete takes his place as the right guilty party.
Goofy inherits the his family's scary Frankengoof castle. Along with the castle there is also a monster included. Pete tries to scare Goofy by pretending to be the monster.
Pete involves Goofy in his easy money making scheme at the races. Goofy is the jockey and has to ride a very slow horse, that was chosen by Pete on purpose. Unaware of Pete's wish for a slow horse, Goofy comes up with a solution that makes the horse super fast.
