Garage om film

Personliga berättelser/Storytelling
Young filmmakers talk about how they chose to make a film entirely based on their own experiences. We get to see parts of Daniel Burman's film, which is about what it is like to live with a serious illness and how he prepares for a major operation that could cost him his life. We meet Karoline Caernyson Conlon, who together with Lina Bertilsson made a film about her brother's suicide. She says that when people see the film, it feels like her brother is not forgotten. Leo Kahn's film is about thoughts on a bicycle, about traveling in the summer night between bars on Söder in Stockholm and feeling both freedom and a sense of loneliness.

Photographer Ulf Aneer shows how different lighting can make a room look different. He explains how the light differs between an early morning scene and a romantic evening scene. Garage has been involved in a commercial filming to see how the photographer and the lighting designer work together. In the studio are filmmakers Rikard Tyllström and Sarah Kitchen from Stockholm Film School. They have been involved in making the film Marionettdokan and tell how they had to darken an entire room in order to be able to control the light and have the opportunity to record night scenes when it was light outside. Robin Andersson and Martin Jernberg shot the film Good Morning with only two construction lamps as lighting equipment. In the series Filmlägret, we get to see how the participants finally agree on the script.
