In this Japanese animated, sci-fi thriller, the cities of the future are plagued by violence, and the Central Guard Company is being commissioned to find a solution to the tumultuous as well as continuous outbreak of urban crime. One designer works rigorously to create a special Guard Suit that has powerful psychic abilities, while another develops a robotic killing machine with an arsenal of weapons. In the end, the murderous cyborg will not only eliminate his opponents, but also get rid of his loved ones in the process too. However when John Stalker is given the unique assignment of testing the Guard Suit, it uncovers a menacing secret he has tried to keep hidden from the world.

U.C. 0096. Argent Keil, an unofficial mercenary organization affiliated with neither the Federation nor Zeon, has been commissioned to assassinate Azami Megine, a high-ranking Federation official. The request comes from the Federation Forces, who cannot allow the reality of Azami's collusion with Zeon to be made public, but just before they were to set out, their fleet was attacked by none other than a Federation Forces' Jegan unit.
