Friederike Kempter comes from Freudental in the Ludwigsburg district and now lives as an actress and mother in the big city of Berlin. For three SWR mini-documentaries, she returns to the southwest as host of this new format. Here she meets women around 40 with special life stories - such as a queer winemaker or a feisty midwife. The women portrayed are special personalities who don't lose heart and go their own way - where women have it harder than men. How did they manage to overcome resistance to become who they are today: courageous, life-smart and assertive women? The portrayed women give Friederike Kempter exciting insights into what women can achieve - even against common prejudices. Daniela, 40, is a midwife in the countryside. She needs a loan for a birth center. But it's complicated with loans for women. Banks often consider their projects too risky. How was she able to realize the birth center anyway?
