The first theme of the spring is "Dangerous painting?". What looks innocent on the surface can be far more risky. We meet the painters Luc Tuymans, Dick Bengtsson and Glenn Sorensen, whose works are multifaceted and definitely "dangerous". Gerhard Richter made a dark and ambiguous tribute to the terrorist group Baader-Meinhof. Format provides criticism from his exhibition at the Louisiana Art Museum and from the Strindberg exhibition in London. A new work by Cecilia Westerberg has its television premiere.

"The forest and the shadow". Format sets off on a romantically colored journey, into art and out into landscapes. Mariel Neudecker mixes scientific methods with a visual world that is associated with romantic painting. Per Wizén works with a completely different landscape. With endless effort, he cuts out new images from the famous paintings of the Renaissance artist Uccello. Yun Nguyen-Hatsushiba works in an underwater landscape, where he stages visually magnificent "memorials" of Vietnam's torn contemporary history. Lilibet Cuenca-Rasmussen shows a new work for Format.
