The first episode of the "Domino Effect" presents the story of the Volunteers for the Visayans organization, which, thanks to the work of, among others, Elsa Thomasma, a volunteer from the USA, has built a shelter in the village of Cangumbang. Thanks to the building, its residents managed to shelter from the destructive typhoon Haiyan, which in 2013 killed 6,1 thousand people in the central part of the Philippines. Kulczyk Foundation helps to reconstruct the building that saves lives.

Madagascar

The municipality of Mahatalaky in Madagascar is quite extensive, and the local communities are isolated from each other. Students who attend lessons in neighboring villages walk up to 20 km per day on foot, and this is a privileged group, since there are not enough school places for all children. Kulczyk Foundation supports the British organization Azafada, which builds and renovates primary schools in this region of Madagascar. In this episode, Dominika Kulczyk visits the largest African island.

It also conducts trainings for street children, which enable them to acquire useful skills.

Nicaragua

In September 2010, the pedestrian bridge in Paso Real was almost completely destroyed by cyclone Matthew. A new crossing was necessary, as the destruction of the previous one prevented thousands of people from 24 surrounding towns from communicating - they had no access to schools, hospitals, and shops. This episode of the "Domino Effect" presents the activities of the American organization, Bridges to Prosperity, which is supported by Kulczyk Foundation, and specializes in building and repairing pedestrian bridges, as well as in training local communities in their maintenance.

Uganda

Playground is part of the Karin Resource Center - a center for former child-soldiers, run by the Childcare and Development Organization Uganda. By running the center, the organization, with the support of Kulczyk Foundation, created a safe haven for children - victims of the conflict, and their families. Playing on the playground is one of the tools of educational and developmental work, allowing, thanks to the combination of therapy and play, to contribute to the rehabilitation of children and to alleviate trauma even more effectively. The organization teaches its beneficiaries mutual respect, kindness, and conflict resolution.

In Togo, Dominika Kulczyk supports the activities of the Belgian organization VZW BISZ, which builds the so-called solar kiosks. In such facilities, villagers can rent solar lamps and recharge them whenever necessary. The installation of such devices allows raising the level of Togo's electrification - in this country, 75% of the local population has no access to electricity.

In the Syrian refugee camp in Domiz, the organization implements programs related to childcare - it has created the so-called Child Friendly Space and conducts programs that activate the community.
