It's Den and Angie's wedding anniversary. Pauline and Arthur's secret is a secret no more. The police have started an investigation in Albert Square.

DS Rich conducts more interviews. Den has to come up with an alibi. Ali and Lou are both lucky at games of chance.

DS Rich continues with his investigation. Dr Legg is on the warpath. Den is stressed about entertaining Mr Chumley. Sharon and Angie both overdo the flirting.

Michelle gets an unwelcome surprise; Sue and Ali get new neighbours; Lou's mood is changeable; DS Rich visits the Fowlers.

Lofty is under pressure; Mary is suspicious about the history of her flat; the police conduct a search; Mark gets into bad company.

Lou is still giving Pauline and Arthur a hard time. Lofty is out of pocket. Mary's suspicions about her flat are confirmed, but it is worse than she thought.

Mary is very troubled. Dr Legg is on the warpath again and is looking for Lofty. A phone call makes Sharon suspicious. Kelvin is at his wits end and Pete and Den are up to old tricks.

Angie and Kathy let their feelings known. Pauline gets some test results and Mary is looking for work. DS Rich has more things to investigate. Ethel does Mary a good turn.

Naima gets a terrible shock. Things are tense between Angie and Den. Sharon invites Kelvin on a date. Lofty is still being hassled by Nick, who tells him something truly shocking. Ali's day does not end well.

Andy is troubled by a proposition. Lofty is subject to blackmail. Pete and Den are hatching yet another scheme. A secret meeting is organised, that has a surprising ending.

Everyone is concerned about Mark. Mark and Ethel find out just how bad Nick can be. Dr Legg talks to DS Rich about Nick and some local problems, but finds that DS Rich has bigger concerns.

Naima starts using the launderette with Saeed's blessing and Saeed decides to experience some real 'cockney' living. Lofty's money worries look set to worsen. Ethel babysits for Mary with frightening results.

Mary is in a panic and everyone joins the search. Den cements plans for his holiday and competition between Michelle and Sharon for Kelvin's affections heats up. Pete is unhappy with Ian's career plans.

Mary appears unwell. Angie and Den talk about the Vic's bottom line, but can't agree on how to boost business. Angie eventually sends Den off to check out a strip act. Pauline leads Naima astray, Debbie upsets Mary and Ian finally snaps.

Nick is on the news. Lou has come around and Den is determined to get away to Spain. Naima and Saeed are getting along better. Dr Legg tries to help Mary get better accommodation, and finds out something that bothers him. Lou comforts Ian.

Ali gets a happy surprise. Dr Legg counsels Lofty to be a better neighbour. Lou's talk with Pete and Kath doesn't go the way she expected. Sue is getting fed up with all the calls for Ali at the Cafe.

Lou is up to her old tricks. Lofty spends more time with Mary and Annie. Debbie and Andy start planning a campaign. Pauline and Arthur celebrate having time to themselves and Den offers Arthur some work.

The kids head back to school, except Mark. Lofty's latest purchase causes a few giggles and Ethel debuts as cook for the Vic. Angie takes flirting with one particular customer to a new level. Saeed impresses Naima.

Den gets caught out and Angie goes out. Mary is getting desperate for money and Den tells Angie he has to spend another week in Spain. The identity of the prank caller to the cafe is revealed.

Ali is told who's been calling the cafe - but he daren't tell Sue who it is. Lou and Michelle return. Mary gets some work and it's Angie's turn to get caught out. Ethel's pies cause a stir and the Fowler's call the police.

Angie decides to sack Ethel. Deb worries about what to serve Sayeed and Naima. Den is due back but Tony doesn't want things to change. Sharon decides to confront Angie about her recent behavior.

Lou is unwell. Den arrives back at the Vic, but doesn't get the welcome he expected. Michelle gets a taste of her own medicine. Someone comes looking for Mary. New information gets the 'Save Our Square' committee mobilised again.

Kath celebrates a birthday. Lou starts doing her own research into what is wrong with her - much to the amusement of others. Sharon is upset about Den and Angie's goings ons. Ian's film night surprises everyone.

Den smells a rat. Everyone finally takes Lou serious about being ill. Mary blames Lofty for being found. Den and Angie come clean with each other and Den reveals more than Angie wants to hear.

Lou has shingles. Mary apologises to a relieved Lofty. Angie and Den come to an agreement, for Sharon's sake - but will they honour it? Dinner at Debbie and Andy's opens new doors for Naima.

Naima has her first driving lesson. Den and Angie promise Sharon things are going to change. Lofty's well meaning gesture is not welcomed by Mary. Den and Angie seem to have put the spark back into their marriage.

Lou wakes up screaming. Den is disappointed with himself. Dr Legg shares some deep concerns about Pauline with Arthur. Michelle gets a new look. Tony warns Michelle off Kelvin, meanwhile Sharon moves in for the kill.

Michelle and Kelvin plan a night out. Saeed and Naima's pledge to discuss everything together hits a snag. Dr Legg throws cold water on Sharon's latest plans and Arthur tries to talk to Michelle about Kelvin.

Sharon is in Michelle's bad books. Nothing is going right for Andy. Ali goes to see Den about a car. Lou's demands are getting everyone down and Pauline is still not getting the support she needs, leading to possibly tragic circumstances.

Arthur is forced to manage without Pauline and few are sympathetic. Sue and Ali can't seem to catch a break and Andy can't get a wink of sleep. Tony is left out in the cold.

Michelle has an idea that Arthur likes. Ian has more than a bruised ego. Ali hires Lofty to fix his car. Deb is studying hard and Andy feels neglected. Kelvin tires of others problems.

After waking up from her coma, Cindy seeks answers over what happened to her. DCI Arthurs arrives to interview Cindy and she's shocked to learn that she was most likely attacked by someone close to her. Peter and Lauren pay a visit to Cindy, but she continues her tense feud with Lauren. Later, the police arrive at The Vic to arrest Lauren for attempted murder. Meanwhile, Denise and Ravi continue to spend time together in secret, but Nugget catches them kissing. Elsewhere, Nigel convinces Phil to attend Raymond's birthday party alongside the Brannings. The gathering goes wrong when Phil clashes with Denise. Also today, the day of Sonia's trial arrives. At the prison beforehand, she begs Reiss to help her prove her innocence. Sonia also insists on having Bianca there to support her, but when she arrives in court, she's shocked that neither Reiss or Bianca are there. Nicola is jealous when Teddy and Sharon go off for a spa break together.

Lauren is questioned by the police following Cindy's recollections from the night of her attack. Peter is concerned to realise that Lauren was arrested due to Cindy's statement, so he urges her to retract it. Later, Lauren confides in Peter about what happened on Christmas Day. Meanwhile, Denise fears that she may lose her family due to her secret affair with Ravi. Ravi promises to take control of securing Nugget's silence, but he gets jealous when he later spots Denise enjoying a warm moment with Jack. Ravi warns Denise that he won't be anyone's dirty secret for long. Elsewhere, Yolande encourages Nigel to be honest with Phil over what's happening with his health.

Lauren's revelation over Christmas Day sparks fresh tensions between her and Peter. Cindy is told that she'll be discharged from hospital tomorrow, so Peter promises to find her a place to stay. Ian refuses to let Cindy move back in, so Peter tricks Reiss into letting Cindy have the spare room at his house. Later, Peter's problems get worse. Meanwhile, Martin informs Reiss that Sonia's trial has been adjourned due to his recent actions. Elsewhere, Denise refuses an invitation to go for lunch with Jack, insisting that they shouldn't blur the lines of their friendship. She then assures Ravi that she's no longer interested in Jack, but stresses that they can't go public because she doesn't want to lose Chelsea. Later, Jack intervenes when a group of men behave inappropriately towards Chelsea at the club, but a violent tussle sees him get punched. Nicola invites Jack to clean himself up in the office. Also today, Ruby feels sidelined when Stacey offers to help Martin with his fight to save the market.

Cindy doesn't know who to trust and her problems get worse when Reiss asks her to find a new place to stay. Peter worries about his mum and his stress boils over when he snaps at Kathy. Later, Ian has a heart-to-heart with Cindy and encourages her to head to The Vic. However, when Cindy arrives, Elaine, George and Gina all make their feelings known. Meanwhile, Reiss makes a scene in court as Sonia's trial continues and his behaviour has huge consequences. As Sonia reflects on what's best for her unborn baby, she makes a decision. Elsewhere, Ruby continues to feel jealous over Martin's friendship with Stacey. When Martin hears about Stacey and Eve's new business proposal, he decides to help by calling a meeting with the council. However, when Martin learns that Roman will be discharged from hospital, it seems that Martin may have taken on too many responsibilities. Jack and Denise hide their feelings from each other.

The Knight family question Ian's motives following some new developments. Gina and Anna persuade George to speak to Cindy, but Ian refuses to let George see her. Elaine intervenes with a plan to lure Ian to The Vic to distract him for a while. When Ian realises he's been tricked, he finds George trying to turn Cindy against him and things turn heated. George tries to let out his anger in the pub's barrel store, but he makes a discovery that stops him in his tracks. Meanwhile, Reiss breaks down in front of Bianca at the lock-up but she urges him to confess. When Reiss tries to leave, Bianca makes one final attempt to stop him. Elsewhere, Ruby steps in to help Martin when his meeting with the councillor about the market is unexpectedly brought forward. During the residents' meeting at the community centre, Ruby argues with Councillor Barker. Nicola comes up with a plan to wind up Teddy and Sharon, inviting them to a double date with her and Jack in The Vic, but her efforts backfire and she's left embarrassed.

Elaine and George are shocked by a new discovery and they waste no time before pointing the finger at each other. Later, the couple decide to question Gina and Anna too. Meanwhile, Bianca reveals her plan to Reiss and appears to be making progress, but her efforts soon go wrong as Reiss turns nasty again. Later, Reiss makes a big decision following some advice from Ruby. In court, Sonia prepares to accept her fate but Reiss turns up at the last minute. Could this change everything? Elsewhere, Callum returns from the US and joins forces with Nigel to arrange a belated birthday party for Phil. However, Nigel later pulls out when it's clear that Phil just wants a quiet night in. A deflated Ruby decides to change tactics when it comes to Councillor Barker.

Yolande asks Nigel to join her in church, but he's more concerned about Phil. Later, Sharon questions Nigel about Phil. Meanwhile, Ruby carries out a risky plan with Councillor Barker, hoping to impress Martin. Elsewhere, Anna and Gina's relationship with George and Elaine is tested. Sonia is found not guilty.

Martin isn't happy with Ruby after how she dealt with Councillor Barker last week. Even when Barker announces that the council will keep the market open after all, Martin refuses to change his stance towards Ruby. Ruby tries to make things right with Barker, but things get worse when Barker vengefully shuts down Martin's stall due to an alleged health and safety violation. Meanwhile, Anna's suspicions grow when she sees Gina having a secretive conversation with Harry. Junior learns that Monique is blocking his access to Xavier because of him being a suspect in the Cindy case. Later at The Vic, Junior exposes a shocking secret about Gina. Billy ploughs ahead with his wedding planning, but Honey realises that he has made a costly mistake.

George supports Gina as she faces accusations. Gina tries to defend herself to her family, who are shocked by the revelations, while Ian warns Elaine that he plans to report Gina to the police. Freddie steps in to support Anna and they finally give into their feelings for each other. Meanwhile, Martin blames Ruby for his latest setback at the market, but Stacey defends her. Martin tries to tell Ian about his woes, but he's shocked when Ian doesn't seem interested. Later, Stacey encourages Ruby to use any tricks she can to help Martin, but Ruby refuses as she wants to prove that she has changed. Elsewhere, Phil plans to get Billy out of financial difficulty and recruits Mo to help.

Stacey asks for Honey's help with getting Martin's stall back. Later, a cosy moment between Martin and Stacey almost results in a kiss. Although they pull back at the last minute, Ruby has seen everything. Meanwhile, Yolande checks in with Nigel, wanting to know whether he's told Phil about his diagnosis yet. Nigel confirms that he hasn't. Later, as Nigel works at the soup kitchen, a woman called Norma approaches him. They get along well, but Nigel rushes off when she asks him out. Elsewhere, Denise encourages Ravi to find somewhere decent for them to spend time together.

Sonia is shocked by her discovery and she confronts Reiss when he returns home. Following their tense showdown, Sonia tries to leave but Reiss blocks her exit. Meanwhile, Phil's mental health continues to deteriorate as he starts to hallucinate. Elsewhere, Ian and Priya hope their antics will make Cindy and Ravi jealous, but Cindy has other ideas. Back at No.45, a warm moment between Priya and Ian is interrupted when Kathy arrives home early. Jack reveals his true feelings for Denise.

The day of Honey and Billy's joint stag/hen-do arrives, but Sharon struggles to enjoy the occasion as she's still worried about Phil. Sharon's concerns grow when she learns from Mo that Phil was the one who paid for the event. When Phil is nowhere to be seen, Sharon orders a search party. As Phil's mental health worsens, he struggles to decipher reality. Meanwhile, Priya attempts to see out a plan and invites herself for dinner at No.45, but she leaves early after Kathy makes some harsh comments. Ian rushes after Priya, but can he win her round again?

Sharon, Jay, Billy and Honey continue to look for Phil and they're worried when they can't find him at No.55. Phil experiences hallucinations which depict scenes from the Mitchell family home in 1985. Phil acts as a bystander during a pivotal moment from his adolescence, as well as conversing with characters from his past and his younger self. When Jay and Sharon finally track Phil down back at No.55, he insists that he's fine and wants to be left alone. Later, though, Nigel arrives home with someone who he hopes can help Phil - his brother Grant. Meanwhile, Linda is comforted by her loved ones when she returns home from rehab.

Billy and Honey excitedly prepare to tie the knot, Phil makes a heartbreaking decision, and Cindy uses dirty tricks to smoke out her attacker.

Cindy puts herself in control, Stacey makes a daring confession, and a shocking return changes everything.

Linda is on a mission to help a friend in need, and Denise faces a huge decision. Tragedy strikes at the Queen Vic.
