The Map of Mathematics
Mathematics is huge area study since it underpins all the fields of science as well as being a field, or rather many fields, of it's own. Dominic provides an overview of the various fields of mathematics and their applications with a very brief explanation of each.

If You Don't Understand Quantum Physics, Try This!
The problem with reality at the atomic level is matter behaves like a particle and a wave. Matter travels as a wave but we tend to experience it as particles. Quantum mechanics handle this really, really well. But our minds have trouble grasping this wave-particle duality. Dominic describes some of the specific quantum behaviors we still struggle to grasp.

The Interpretations of Quantum Mechanics
Ever since quantum mechanics was created the great minds have been trying to understand it. It predicts all these weird behaviors (that really happen) but it makes no sense to anyone why they happen. So here's Dominic to explain all the various interpretations and why none of them are very satisfying. Or you can jump to the end of the video and have a biscuit as he suggests.

LISA: The Biggest Space Mission Ever
The Ligo and Virgo gravitational wave detectors created a sensation by detecting the merger of black holes and are now detecting another merger every five days. The LISA mission scheduled for launch in 2034 will take gravitation wave detection to new heights. Based in space a three satellite constellation will detect the mergers before they occur so the region the black holes reside in and the merger can be observed with traditional light telescopes.

Faster Than Light Galaxies: How Is It Possible?
Let's hope you're comfortable with redshifts and galaxies that are 13 billion light years away because it's time to bend your mind a bit, a great bit, more. In the 13 billion years since the light we see left that galaxy a lot has happened in the universe; 13 billion years of history to be precise. Dominic tells you what happened in that time and the implications for today.

Viruses Explained in 9 Images
Virus infect virtually every type of cell from single cell bacteria to the various cells of the various organs in complex life forms so there are a huge number of them. Presented here is general information about virus types and classification, how they enter, replicate and escape from cells to spread, cell immune responses and vaccines.

The Easiest Way to Make Delicious Bread
if you wonder what Dominic does when he's stuck at home (for a year or more) and not making physics maps and videos it's time to find out. He makes bread. So if you need something to munch on while watching Domain of Science you can try out his recipe.

The Map of Doom: Apocalypses Ranked
Doomsday scenarios are a popular topic for science fiction and, from time to time, news stories. But with so many ways humanity could be wiped out which do we really need to worry about. Dominic prepared a chart plotting the likelihood of the various calamities versus the number of casualties to provide some idea of where to focus mitigation efforts.

A Simple Explanation of Quantum Wavefunctions
We encounter waves in many situation in everyday life. In the quantum world atomic particles also behave live waves and are described mathematically by the wave function of the Schroedinger equation. To understand the particles behavior it is helpful to visualize the wave function.

The Map of Particle Physics: The Standard Model Explained
Sixty-one fundamental particles, various categories of particles, three fundamental forces (gravity not included), a bunch conservation laws and symmetry violations all make up the standard model of fundamental particles. And Dominic will explain them all. But he, like all physicists, has some questions too.

The Map of Black Holes: Your Ultimate Guide to Black Holes
Here is a comprehensive introduction, or review, of black holes. Dominic presents his map of black holes starting with how they form then proceeds to the various types and their properties. He concludes with what is unknown and speculated about black holes which is a large part of the map because they are still mysterious.
