Irish Architect Dermot Bannon visits 5 homes in the Los Angeles area. The first is at Laguna Beach, right on the coast. The 2 nd home is a Giga sized mansion being built on speculation by a builder, size 16,000 sq ft. The Wave House is the 3 rd home, built 5 blocks from the sea, and no architect was involved. Then Dermot visits a home built by a well known local architect that Dermot wanted to meet, Larcan O'Herlihy from Dublin, who designed a house for a Lifecoach couple. Lastly he drives 2 hours inland to Joshua Tree National Park in the desert where he meets the architect and owner, Robert Stone, who he had had a hard time to arrange the visit, but finally was given permission to see. The owner rents the house on AirB&B for $500 a night.
