The United States Army has adopted BAE's AMPV to replace the M113 APC. A prototype variant is expected to offer a mortar turret that improves fire-rate, crew protection, accuracy and fire on the move advantages.
Nuclear arms treaties with Russia lead the United States to reduce the number of warheads carried in its Minuteman III ICBMs to a single warhead rather than reduce the number of missiles. Since the treaties expire in 2026 and Russia and China have not been receptive to a new treaty, Anthony Cotton recommends planning to deploy the new Sentianal ICBMs with multiple warheads.
