[These summaries follow the re-cut version of 2007] The Coppens cousins start their pole to pole-trip -budget $100 each- on the Southpole, after a Catholic blessing taking a plane to Punta Arenas, the southern tip of Chile, to start thumb-riding, first with hospitable trucker Emanuel. They spend $34 on a bus to Argentina. After spending a night in a fire department, which helpfully hoses them down in the morning, and more trucks by thumb, they meet a half Chilean Yank who invites the duo at his winery, wined before he'll give them a car ride to Santiago in the morning.
