The investigations of the failed plan expose the leaders of the conspiracy, including General Santander, a former friend and ally of Bolívar, who is sentenced to exile from his native country.

Bolívar, aware of Córdova's opposition to his intention to establish a monarchy, gives the order to monitor him, even using the sword, if necessary. Aware of the order, Córdova arrives in Antioquia, where he is forced to rebel and take up arms, beginning the end of his successful military career and his days. Finally, General Córdova, faces the intrigues, revenges and weapons sent from Santafé, which end up sacrificing the life of our hero.
