On his way to Mo's, Dao Ma finds a bounty on a criminal called the Two-headed Snake. Though Mo warns Dao Ma of the danger of the task, Dao Ma does not have the luxury to refuse 6000 coins.

In search of the Double-Headed Snake, Dao Ma reaches a town called Chisha. The town is being dictated by a Government Official Chang Guiren. He proposes Dao Ma to work in his battalion to keep the so-called rebellions at bay.

On their way to Chang'an, Dao and the group notice a swordsman (Shu) fighting off Rakshasan-worshipers. Dao Ma offers to help the guy in exchange for his carriage. But the guy does not seem to be friendly at all.
