S2.E4 ∙ A Bone to Pick

'Generación Anti Todo' paces back and forth between documentary and fiction around Eskorbuto, the mythological punk band from Santurtzi. Through a dialogue between past and present youth, we do witness chats about music, freedom of speech and everything that defines a generation. Has Eskorbuto been mythicized and eventually become a product? Punk is dead or it has evolved into another shape? A story about two 21th century teenagers is the backbone of a movie that also tries to answer to another question: can you be a punk, authentic person if you were born in 2001?

This is a hybrid documentary and drama combining real interviews and a fictional framing narrative, produced by Studio 4°C as a tie-in with their animated movie of the comic "Children of the Sea" by Igarashi Daisuke.

A master of martial arts, who's homeless and jobless, spends his days alone at a martial arts center. He looks for work, but it's difficult to find, as he is now in his late 30s. The more he comes to terms with his reality, the more he feels defeated. When his loneliness gets too hard to bear, he thinks back on days he had with his mother when he was younger. Those good times are a trip down memory lane, and through that, he finds peace of mind. But reality is what it is; it doesn't change.

In 2011, the multiple Grammy award winning producer Quincy Jones and a UAE national social entrepreneur Badr Jafar, coproduced Bokra, the first Arabic charity single featuring 24 of the regions top artists. All of the proceeds raised by Bokra were donated to local and international charity programs and institutions. A remarkable behind the scenes story that shows how it was done and how thousands of children benefited from the proceeds. The film has been shot over 5 countries where audiences get see and meet some of the children the song helped.
