Through moving and detailed testimonies, the documentary explores the significant Chilote heritage in the architecture of an emerging Patagonia at the end of the 19th century. The houses and buildings, built by skilled Chilote carpenters, are the center of this narrative that remembers and honors those builders whose history has been largely forgotten in official records. Using wood as a raw material and ingenuity as their main tool, numerous families from Chiloé settled in Magallanes, building the region that we know today, board by board.
