Summary This episode looks at the rise and fall of Montreal's Rizzuto crime family. Affiliated with New York's Bonanno crime family, Vito Rizzuto came to prominence in the early 1980s when Joe Massino, acting head of the Bonannos, had Vito and his crew eliminate 3 captains he suspected of being unloyal. After that, Vito was the king of crime in Montreal with a criminal empire worth billions and controlling the flow of heroin through Montreal to the U.S. Vito however was extradited to the U.SA. and eventually sentenced to 10 years in prison. As he had predicted, the family's control of Montreal crime began to weaken and his successors - his father Nick and later his son Nick Jr. - were both killed.
