Dogfood- one way to hell

Dogfood- one way to hell

The documentary series examines the origins of the dog meat trade. Highlighting the terrifying, terrible conditions and slaughtering of an animal that widely perceived as a man best friend "The Dog". A fearful journey that encourages the viewer to act. The trade in dog meat is a lucrative business and is widespread throughout Southeast Asia and China. In Thailand and South Korea, it is officially illegal. It is difficult to control consumption and police in the poorer rural areas. The dogs are brutally slaughtered screaming terror as a heartless thugs stamp on their heads skinning them alive, these dogs die slowly and in extreme pain. The widespread misconception that the dogs adrenaline make the meat taste better, in fact it is the exact opposite. We will explore the origin and reasons of how these two powerful predators man and wolf became allies, entering into a contract of servitude. The juxtaposition of a deep-rooted religion and the horrendous method used for killing our most faithful companion. The Dog (wolves, foxes, coyotes, jackals ...) had a misalignment to humans for thousands of years. Man then decided that he would domesticate Dogs, through an informal contract creating a symbiosis between the two predators. The four-legged friends became our best friends! Sadly year's later humans broke this contract, abused him and used him ultimately as food. Through a millennia of years the consumption of dog meat through wars, poverty, religion and misconceived heath benefits, dogs sadly bore the brunt. Countries all over the world consume dog meat!
