A a team of documentary filmmakers comprised of two students and a teacher traveled to Ghana during the summer of 2011. While there, they shot a documentary about the Kayayo: a group of teens from the rural northern regions of Ghana who travel to the larger southern cities to work as laborers and/or porters in the busy markets. They work to make money for school, they work for new lives, they work to survive. The film shares the stories of two Kayayo teens as well as the experiences of the two teen filmmakers.

Denis and Monique have been deeply in love for a long time. However, something came up that completely changed the course of their existence. Denis suffers from a degenerative illness that makes him less and less autonomous, and Monique has decided to keep him at home as long as possible. In their daily life made of small joys, but also of growing obstacles, other people have joined them to help them keep going on. These helpers are now part of their life, coming and going everyday. The film focuses on three expatriates and a family that left Haiti during thee prominent regimes; 'Papa Doc' Duvalier, 'Baby Doc' Duvalier and Jean Bertrand Aristide, as well as after the regimes. Their struggles and journeys are chronicled from Haiti to Miami and their life and death battle on the open sea are detailed, to help understand the obstacles faced by many Haitians. Sove Nou highlights the strength, courage and resiliency of the migrants. Featuring experts such as former Haiti Chief General Counsel Ira Kurzban, activist Marlien Bastien and more, the film interweaves struggle and history and touches on key historical points that have brought Haiti to where it is today.

Then it was decided that it should be demolished and replaced by a new one. The filmmaker Johan Palmgren has followed the life in the eye of the storm during this dramatic year. The hub of the story is the secret work of the architects who design the new proposal. They work in his office, located right in the Slussen-carousel. Meanwhile protesters are chanting out in the square to preserve everything as it is. All questions must be resolved until the end of the exhibition opens. Should we have two bridges or one? What to do with Saltsjöbanan old station? And how sunny and cheerful, one can produce the new proposal? Just below the architects, Nina is locking boats. She feels for Pekka and the other homeless, but must sometimes roar to to keep track of them. And sometimes the most remarkable things flows up in the channel beneath her. The hairdresser Christian work in his salon in Blå Gången for twenty years and he enjoys its patrons. He worries about where he will go when lock is lost. Above them all bartender James is working on the fashionable Gondolen. He's looking down at Slussen every day while serving architects tea.
