On June 8th, 1967 US Navy intelligence ship USS Liberty was attacked by unmarked aircraft and ships for over two hours in the deadliest attack on the US Navy since WWII, made deadlier by President Lyndon Johnson ordering the mission to rescue Liberty to be recalled. Since then, the truth about the attack has been obscured at the highest levels of the American Government. The surviving crew have been threatened, silenced, and denied VA benefits for 40 years.
