One happy person was Kimberly and her five year old daughter. She sings "The Way I Am." Simon calls her lippy. She gets four yes's.

We get a montage of yes's. The judges were loving the talent.

Next up is Denell a karaoke hostess. She is also a single mom. She's very teary in the audition room talking about hard it is pursuing her dream of singing. She sings "I'm the Only One." She's appropriately raspy and powerful for the song. Simon likes her but worries she's almost broken. He thinks she came in just in time. Four yes's.

We get a "fashion" montage, i.e. people in silly outfits, and a few good ones.

Casey was in a major car accident and thought he would never play guitar again. He's got a country vibe as he sings "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room." Simon thinks it's a bad audition. Kara and Posh basically make him strip. Simon says it's embarrassing. Three yes's. Simon holds out.

Tori arrived with a whole group of young relatives. She's 16. She brings a little girl with her that brought pictures she drew of the judges. The judges are charmed. Posh likes her dress. She sings "Gravity." (Two John Mayers in a row!) She has a sweet voice with a touch of soul. Simon thought her voice was almost annoying. Posh likes her whole vibe. Three big yes's. Simon thinks they are mad and says no.

Austin is a football playing music composition major. He is very confident and excited. More John Mayer as he sings "Bigger Than My Body" with weird body movements. Posh and Kara think he's arrogant. He thinks he could be very marketable. Four no's.

Kenny announces that he's the best singer in the world. You know what that means. Cue a not even approaching acceptable rendition of "Be Without You." They all say no and Kenny can't believe it and starts in on "No More Drama." Four no's.

We get more shots of lovely Denver. And then a montage of bad singers and one scatter. And teary rejects.

Nikki came all the way from Florence, Italy to audition. She has an odd speaking voice so it will be interesting to hear her sing. She sings "Something Kinda Oooh." She has a very Euro-pop, girl group voice. But in tune. Four yes's.

Finally it's [bHayley] who has a dramatic back story as a preemie baby and her dad died when she was 10. She wants to be the first black, pop-country main singer. She sings "Last Name." Simon likes that she's different. She brings her sisters in who love Randy and Simon. Four yes's.

We get a montage of yes's and the final contestant Ty, "bikini boy," who sings "Achy Breaky Heart." They walk out on him.

26 folks got golden tickets.
