Summary At a party in Tara Holloway's mansion, Phil Hop reveals his intent to mix drugs with dog medicine and sell them as pure ecstasy, obtained from King. The others first respond hesistantly to Phil's plans, but he persists. After intoxicating themselves, the group lies on the floor drugged out when chaos erupts in the background. Violence breaks out at the party, with Phil crawling for safety.

Preceeding the events, King, Zoey, and Marty surveil the mansion, planning to rob the guests. King's true intentions are concealed from Phil, who believes they are there to sell drugs. However, it was King's plan all along to rob the guests unbeknownst to Phil. After executing the robbery, the group departs. The next day, in the evening, King goes to Super Wok, where he finds a suspicious Marty. King wants to talk to Phil, but Phil is not present. Marty expresses his wish to talk to King in secret and invites him into the kitchen.

Here, King faces Monk, his superior, who accuses him of orchestrating the robbery due to Marty's sudden wealth. A heated altercation ensues, with King asserting that Monk lacks ambition and represents a stagnant criminal enterprise. Monk, emphasizing the need for stability, warns King of the dire consequences of attracting unwanted attention, ultimately banishing him.

Returning to his apartment, King shares his frustrations with Zoey, who urges him to stick to their plan of making money and leaving Chinatown. King, however, believes that the status quo will thwart their aspirations.
