Summary
A man sits peacefully as he watches two people riding a moped approach in a busy tourist bar in Bangkok. The cops depart while these men seek for someone. An armed person suddenly stops the man as he tries to flee by the back exit. As he lifts his hands in submission, he is viciously cut with blades. He tries to get help as he struggles back into the pub but collapses in the middle of the crowd.
When Sidney Chow visits his doctor, he is given the dismal prognosis of his cancer. Sidney expresses his impatience and discouragement about prior fruitless therapies. He mulls the possibility of going to Miami, where his nephew has ties, to get alternative medical treatment.
In the middle of Chinatown's soggy streets, Sidney is stopped by a car with Rainman seated in the passenger side.
