S4.E6 ∙ The Headless Corpse

Inspired by true events from the 1970s, the story revolves around a young detective who becomes the head of a police unit focused on catching a rampant serial killer of women, nicknamed 'The Silesian Vampire'.

The children Julian, Dick and Anne spends a summer holiday at the Kirrin Farm, where there cousin Georgina lives with her dog Tim, and her parents. The tomboyish Georgina is punished for her poor school performance, and her father hires a private teacher. Nobody likes this teacher, and Tim is particularly suspicious, so no doubt: The man must be a criminal.

Madhav Verma (Om Puri) is a dedicated, honest, and diligent union representative. He represents the majority of the employees in an organization, which recognizes his union. However, there is a rival in the shape and form of Rustom Patel (Naseeruddin Shah) who is attempting to break the union so as to establish his majority, through his henchman Krishnan (Gopi), and will not hesitate to stoop to any level to get what he wants. Chhotelal (Pankaj Kapoor) loses his legs in an accident, and must be hospitalized. Krishnan takes advantage of the situation and puts pressure on Chhotelal and his brothers (Achyut Potdar and Harish Patel) to enroll in his union, and he will get him a higher compensation package than his regular union. Madhav must use his utmost diligence and consistently uphold his principles as they will be put to a test before all logic gives way to violence, anarchy, apathy, and corruption.

Rachel is killed. A year later Kate, a young jazz DJ, finds Ted, her boyfriend, in bed with another woman. She leaves Boston for her mother's place in Vermont. There, she finds that her problems with her mother haven't gone away, and that her grandmother, her mother's enemy, has just moved in because of memory problems. Ted follows Kate to Vermont, Kate meets Hal, and murder, romance, and family intrigue follow.
