Summary Defeated by Bari, Zatch and Kiyo are wounded both physically and mentally. Ponygon starts to feel badly for having never battled. So Ponygon decides to leave and go on a journey with his spell book to look for a human partner! Ponygon offers his book to everyone that passes, but nobody even pays attention to him. Finally, Ponygon meet Doronma, a man with a horsey face, and shows him the book. It seems like the man notices something. Just then, Zatch arrives at the scene. Doronma invites Zatch and Ponygon to his house. He claims his job is handing out presents to poor people, and asks Ponygon and Zatch to help him. They head out into the city late at night with Doronma. But Doronma breaks into all of the jewelry stores in instead. It seems Doronma is a famous thief. Doronma leads Zatch and Ponygon to break into a high-security mansion. However, Ponygon and Zatch end up only causing trouble for Doronma. In the end, the police surround them! It turns out that it was just a dead fly that Doronma had noticed on the spell book. Ponygon is shocked and heads back home as Zatch consoles him.
