Summary Zatch catches a cold, and is left alone at home, so he rides Ponygon to Kiyo's school only to cause a ruckus. Amidst that hullabaloo, Zatch collapses due to his fever. Kiyo takes Zatch to the nurse's room, when Apollo appears. Kiyo notices that Rops, isn't there. He learns that a mamodo destroyed Rops's book, sending him back to the mamodo world. Apollo tells him that the mamodo looked very similar to Zatch. Apollo sensed that Dufort, the book's owner, was hiding something extremely powerful deep down inside. During their battle, Zeno and Dufort's speed and the power exceeded that of Rops and Apollo. Strangely, Dufort did not show any signs of fear whatsoever and managed elude all of Rops's attacks. Finally, they were defeated and then Zeno discharged another lightning shock to the book. Rops vanished without even giving Apollo the time to say goodbye. Kiyo burns with anger, as Apollo offers his fullest possible cooperation in helping Zatch become the mamodo king. Kiyo promises Apollo that he will avenge Rops no matter what.
