Summary Mother of three Jessica Goebel was stabbed over 20 times in her home in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Police became alerted to check on Jessica after her ex partner, John Hemminger, called the emergency line on his way to hospital. He told the operator that he had just been stabbed in Jessica's home by her current boyfriend, Richard Henley. When police arrived at the scene, they found her left for dead but no trace of Henley. Jessica was rushed to the same hospital where John was being treated for cut wounds. She succumbed to her injuries after five days. Detective Sgt. Chris Gross from the Aberdeen P.D. focused his murder investigation on two suspects, Hemminger and the recently paroled Hanley. Det.
