Summary -In 1982 a marginalized couple, Suzan and Michael Carson, live in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, CA, the same one that saw the birth of Charles Manson 15 years earlier. The Carson consume psychedelic drugs, are vegetarians, and have converted to Islam. They are convinced to receive divine messages that command them to kill individuals designated by the "all-powerful" as witches and witches. These "witch killers" will eventually be sentenced to life imprisonment.
