Summary On February 29, 2008 Terry and Penny Caffey put the kids to bed and settle in to watch some television. Around eleven oclock they kiss goodnight and turn out the lights. They have no idea as they drift off that it will be their last night together. Five hours later, Penny and her two sons are stabbed and shot dead, their house is engulfed in flames. But Terry, shot five times and with two bullets still in him, manages to escape the fire and is crawling through the woods to the neighbors for help. When authorities arrive and hear the story that Terry has to tell, they are shocked. But soon they discover that what Terry saw was only half the story.
