Summary Linda Brookes reports a burglar drawing a knife on her and identifies known villain Matthew Boyle. When the police go to arrest him they find he has been beaten up by Linda's boyfriend Danny,who seems to have found him out rather too quickly though he claims it was common knowledge Matthew robbed a friend of his sister's. Matthew owns up to a whole string of burglaries but resolutely denies robbing Linda. Has Linda perhaps,hearing of the other burglary,fabricated the situation to gain the attention of a boyfriend who,on his own admission,is scared of commitment?
