Summary A young wife with children is looking forward to a New Years eve event, she and here husband had been invited to. But her husband was having trouble with a bad back. He told her to go, and he would watch the kids. When she doesn't come home on time, he waits for her come home, all night. When she doesn't he notifies the authorities. At around the same time a body is found in a car. A lot of time is devoted to finding her killer. Much later they get a lead from the FBI about a criminal they have in custody looking for a break.
