Summary Set in 1972, Rick and Darlene are both virgins who decide to consummate their relationship in the back seat of a car they park deep into the New Mexico desert one cold October night. Rick decides to leave the car radio on, which eventually drains the car's battery, forcing them to try to walk back to the city.
