Summary Justin is ten years old and one morning, while going as usual to serve Mass, he sees a corpse abandoned on the street. But when he tells the fact that the corpse is out of breath, everyone thinks that it is his invention to justify the delay. Only Commissioner Maigret believes his word and begins investigating the inhabitants of the street where Justin would have seen the body.
