Summary Robin Scott, hired by Inter-Continental Insurance to locate a two-hundred thousand dollar payroll, discovers that one of the Robbery Gang, Al Martin, is about to be paroled from prison. Martin, the only who man who survived the crime, must be forced to lead Robin to the loot. Through his own methods of investigation, Robin learns that Martin's wife and Mike Durand, whose brother was killed in the robbery, are planning to double-cross the ex-con shortly after Martin's release from the penitentiary. Robin starts the wheels of a ransom plot rolling only to find himself suddenly put out of commission. He works out of a tight squeeze to find that time and hate have corroded not only the people involved - but the money as well.
