Summary A CPA is bailed out of jail on a murder rap to the tune of $200,000. The insurance company discovers that to get a reduction of sentence to a bondable charge, the man, Charlie Quentin, fingered a string of lay-off books across the country, which belong to the crime cartel called the "Syndicate." Fearing that Charlie will never live to make the insured court appearance, the company hires Robin Scott to keep Quintin alive and to deliver him on the trial date, thus exonerating the bond. Robin goes to Quintin's mother, Carmen, at her place of business, and runs into Syndicate rep, Vic Schultey with one of his boys. After a tussle, Robin gains the assistance of Carmen and her daughter Ruth, who direct him to Charlie, in California. As Robin is attempting to dissuade the gentle Charlie to give up his idea of finding the man who framed him, two hoods arrive and take them all to the Syndicate boss, Martin Turk. Turk is a handsome psychopath, and it looks bad for the home team until Robin takes advantage of circumstances to free himself and Quentin. Ruth, however, remains behind and Robin returns for her. Vic Schultey arrives and Robin puts him against Turk by proving that Turk killed the man Quentin stands accused of murdering. In the action that follows, Robin gets the girl away and returns Charlie Quentin along with proof that the man is innocent.
