Summary Emile Masters, a superbly talented jeweler, leaves prison after seven years, vowing to accomplished two things: murder Robin Scott, the man responsible for his imprisonment, and swindle the Peerless Insurance Co. out of a quarter of a million dollars. When the murder attempts fail, Masters involves Robin in the insurance swindle in the hopes of luring him to his death. Robin tumbles to the scheme but not to the fact that Masters is protecting his plan by holding Phyllis hostage. Robin forces one of the crooks to reveal Phyllis' hiding place, then races against the clock to rescue her.
