Summary The only copy of the manuscript of a new novel by America's young literary lion, Addison Hanks, is stolen by two tribesmen in Mozambique, Africa. Robin goes to find it. Hanks looks suspicious because he acts suspiciously; Molly Sullivan, Hanks' agent, warns Robin to stay away. Robin learns facts that lead him to believe that Hanks had it stolen. He is almost killed in a barroom brawl with Hanks. Then he realizes Harned is involved.
