Two days before Christmas, a stranger walks into a house, sits down and joins a woman and her granddaughter watching TV. They soon discover the man is on the run, and are held hostage while he recounts the bloody trail that led him there.

The movie is based on a true story about an Indonesian labour leader who was kidnapped, tortured, and killed because of her struggle (East Java 1993). The case remains unsolved. Several people are punished for the crimes, but later they are released because they are not the real killers.
