Those invited into the Manson Family cult were easy-pickings for its leader, Charles Manson. The Family, inspired by Manson, murdered nine people. Manson claimed to have been wrongly convicted, arguing he had played no part in the horrific crimes. What followed was a bizarre court case, that revolved around Manson's influence over the killers.
