S2.E10 ∙ The Vanishing Babysitter

Inspired by a true story LIKE THE WIND narrates 15 years of Armida Miserere's life, a woman who with determination and grit, but also personal suffering, was one of the first woman to become governor of prison. Armida Miserere, after suffering the loss of her loved one, found herself on the front line in the fight against crime, governing the most dangerous jail in Italy, while struggling to find the truth and to get justice. The film is conceived as long flashback that highlights the most important moments of her life in the attempt to unveil her mystery.

Detroit Police Detective, Karoline Kane, discovers a string of missing person cases. Haunted by dreams of a lover who never existed and violent crimes she hasn't committed, she feels something is missing from her life. Things take a turn for the better after going on break and seeking out psychotherapy. Halting the progression her continued nightmares lead to a disturbing realization about the hidden nature of her life.

In this true life murder mystery, we know early on "whodunnit" (the butler, actually), but the surprising charm in the story stems from the fact that the lawyer is honest and morally upright. The story of William Marsh Rice and his legacy, Rice University, where much of the film was shot.
