In October 2008, a caller to a tip line shared information that John Shelton told his father Edward Shelton that he had "accidentally" killed a girl. The family members sued John Shelton in civil court and won their case. However, they still do not have answers about what happened and the police do not have enough evidence to further the case. Molly Dattilo was legally declared dead, but the family still wants answers.
