Summary Celeste's volunteer work at a local hospital turns out to be an entry point into a scary, slightly surreal murder mystery when two nurses vanish under mysterious circumstances. Danny talks to the chief of staff (Dr. Arthur Levitt: George Wyner) about staff giving Celeste inappropriate attention (without realizing he is giving her inappropriate attention) and wants him to keep an eye on Celeste. Barbara runs into an old high school friend (Dr. Harold Jim Bentley: Gildart Jackson) which makes Danny jealous. Celeste is creeped out with Dr. Levitt watching her. Danny discovers that Dr. Bentley was arrested (and acquitted) in his wifes murder. Danny goes berserk when he tells Barbara. Dr. Levitt knows about Dr. Bentleys pastin fact, he testified at the trial. Barbara discovers that Bentley is a drug addictboth he and his wife were. After a three-day bender, Bentley wakes up to find his wife deadwith her heart missing. After enlisting her parents' help, Celeste's fears about the nurses' whereabouts turn out to be well-founded when Danny locates their bodies. But who killed them--and why? The police swarm the hospital and both Levitt and Bentley wonder what each other has done. Tara Mathers (Jenna Leigh Green) notices someone spying on them in the volunteers lounge and goes searching. Tara stabs Dr. Levitt in self-defense. Later he diesof a very precise stab wound. Bentley turns out to be quite insane and attacks Barbara.
