Einar, a charismatic history teacher is committed to a remote mental asylum in Iceland. During the bank holiday weekend he initiates an uprising that transforms into a proper revolution where the lunatics literally take over the asylum.

High-school graduate Gon Xi gives up her university chances in order to support her childhood friend and romantic goal, Bu Po Shang, in his pop-idol career. Upon arriving in Taipei, Gong Xi stars working at multiple jobs to support Shang, whose popularity quickly rises; he soon becomes one of Taiwan's top idols. One day, Gong Xi catches Shang flirting with his manager and realizes that he only used her so she could help with his living expenses. Heartbroken and betrayed, Gong Xi vows to get revenge by becoming a bigger star than Shang. Gong Xi auditions for L.M.E., Taiwan's largest talent agency, and joins L.M.E.'s new-found department "Love me" with fellow new recruit Jian Nan Qin. At L.M.E famous actor Sun He Lian, disgusted by Gong Xi's reasons for joining the show business, consistently finds ways to annoy and taunt her. As Gong Xi's acting career stars to take off, she discovers a new sense of identity and purpose separate from her initial plans of revenge. Lian also eventually warms up to her and finds himself falling more and more in love with her.

When the employment office is haunted, performance targets troubles and indoor mold threatens, service manager Anneli Tiainen uses peculiar means in the face of an impossible situation.

After he loses his shop-assistant job, Alfred Polly buys a bicycle and travels around meeting people. After an unsuccessful marriage to his cousin and a failed suicide attempt, he resumes his cycling adventures.
