A drama plot about a wife trying to balance her husband's love towards their adopted child (sin child of the wife) and their natural child.

It's Friday morning at Pan American Machinery Inc., a company specializing in selling and repairing machines for construction and destruction. The employees are already winding down for the weekend, engaging in little rituals and routines when an unexpected turn of events pulls them off their peaceful monotony. Don Alejandro, the boss, lies dead at the back of the warehouse. The discovery changes everything - the company is bankrupt, the elderly workforce have no prospects of employment elsewhere and no hope of any retirement funds. In a state of confusion, fear and grief they agree to lock themselves in their workplace.

The story of Picucha, an 85-year-old suburban widow and mother of four who faces the reality of living alone in her age while keeping good humor and love for family and life.

Teenager Erik returns from Paris to Finland in a rowboat and is accosted by a gang of youths in the countryside. He walks to Helsinki, returns to his parents' home and his old high school filled with angry radical teens who, typically for the era, consider the teacher-imposed discipline as another form of capitalist imperialism. Almost reluctantly Erik drifts together with Annika, a girl from a wealthy family, and starts experimenting with sex and marijuana. In the same nonchalant manner Erik gets involved in demonstrations and school politics which escalate into a violent school strike leading to police intervention and heavy sanctions. The dramatic plot is frequently interrupted by absurd comic relief.

Frida yearns to become a mother, but her burning desire remains unsatisfied. And yet her Boyfriend walks out on her.
